After meeting your instructor you will be given an introduction to the equipment & safety briefing. Then it’s time to brainstorm your raft design, and get building! Once the rafts are built, it’s into the river for a race home, and some games! The session lasts approximately 2.5hours, including building and playing time.
What age range is it for?
We offer raft building sessions from age 12. Parents/Guardians are welcome to join in but our instructors will take excellent care of your children so it is not a requirement.
Do I have to be able to swim?
No. Because everyone wears a buoyancy aid, we do take non-swimmers. However we do need to be informed at time of booking & on arrival at the centre if a non-swimmer is participating. The instructor will then keep a much closer eye on that child. The raft building sessions often end up being quite wet (depending on how good your raft is) so some water confidence is required!
How much does it cost?
The price depends on how many people are participating:
Up to 6 people (1 raft) - £99
Up to 12 people (2 rafts) - £189
How do we book?
Raft building can be arranged for any time between March and October. When you book online, please use the comments box to let us know the name and age of the birthday child, your prefered date/time, and a back up. If we can't accommodate your first choice, we will call you to arrange a day and time before completing the booking.
